Long Live Logos

My brothers have a cool band, named Long Live Logos. Their style of playing spans many genres which I think makes them very unique and very talented. I am in the works to have them compose the soundtracks for my short film project that I'm working on. They're on tour right now so be sure to check out the link to see if they're playing at a city near you.

The Journey Begins

cgtalk has this cgchallenge thing every so often and this next challenge's topic seems very fitting to my journey of creating films.

I will partake in this challenge during my spare time and you can follow along here:

i'm Board

So my buddy Shane and I bought some spiffy moleskine notebooks that come with storyboard pages. It's small and compact that you can carry it with you anywhere and board your scenes for your next short film :)

Moleskine has a rigid, oilcloth bound 'moleskine' cover, and the acid free paper pages are thread bound.
If you would like one, a good place to get them from: www.amazon.com

Time? what time?

So i'm back at sony and slowly getting back into the swing of things. Thing is, I came back during crunch time! Hehe. So my previous plan to have extra time for my short film projects is currently on hold. I'm still trying to do little things here and there to progress forward, but not much time dedicated to it as I would like.

Other than that, it's going well at sony. Good to be back and see old friends again. They all carry a wealth of knowledge that I can pick at and will be beneficial in my filmmaking pursuit.

Enjoy!

More time...

So I just finished my short gig over at Omation Studios. It was a fun ride and I got some film experience and learned xsi in the process, but now I'll be heading back to Sony Cinematics in San Diego, CA.

I'm hoping that I'll have more time to dedicate to the short film projects that I'm involved in. So stay tuned :) I hope to have some actual content to show soon.

God Bless,

Modeling

So in my pursuit of becoming an indie filmmaker and wanting to incorporate cg elements/creatures into my live action films(and wanting to do all cg films as well), I've come to the realization that there's a lot i will have to learn. I've been working on that and currently i'm trying to improve on my modeling skills since it's kinda weak atm.

I've found a new modeling site, www.subdivisionmodeling.com It looks like a pretty good place to get some feedback on my modeling projects from some master modelers like Glen Southern.

I've got some models i want to do before tackling the modeling i'll be doing for my first short film, which i'll post info on soon. I'll have WIPs to show of my models on my site.

Vong Visuals

I've teamed up with my buddy Curtis to create a short film test project and at the same time a work out a sort of online pipeline for future projects. This test will feature a cg creature intergrated into a live action environment. I will be handling the initial creation of the cg creature and Vong(aka Curtis) will be focusing on shooting the live action scenes.

I've been Omationized

I guess you know from my last post, I'm now working at Omation Studios, on the film, the Barnyard. I've been there since November 05' working as a Character Finaler.

This is another piece to the puzzle of making movies and attaining the knowledge and experience to make my own films.

You can check out an old trailer here.
